Painting still life and landscapes in oils is how I enter my inner calm. Its wonderful to be emotionally moved by what surrounds us day to day and then reflect this in a painterly style onto wood.
Wire sculpture has further connected my love of nature.Using wire is the perfect medium in capturing the fragility and movement of birds and wildlife. It is akin to a graphite line, simple yet provocative. The wire I use would have been destined for a waste, instead it gives me the opportunity to make something beautiful that would have otherwise been overlooked. Each creation has a lead ring housing a unique reference number an artist stamp and is catalogued.
